Study in the unique surroundings amongst 7,000 plants at a world famous botanical site with Birmingham Metropolitan College and Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
The Botanical Gardens were founded in 1832 and in 2012 Birmingham Metropolitan College established a presence at the Study Centre to meet the challenges of our evolving society.
We offer a whole range of full and part time courses from our Study Centre set in the beautiful surroundings of the gardens, and we’re the only college in the city offering qualifications in conservation, countryside, environmental studies, horticulture and floristry - our classes are small and exclusive. You’ll work alongside experts and get a real sense of what it’s like working in the great outdoors, training for a career in horticulture.
In addition we run a series of short walks and talks, taster sessions and one day practical workshops covering everything from gardening for beginners to making your own bat box!
