On this course you will learn about key aspects of business such as
enterprise, finance, marketing and branding. You will develop the skills
that employers are looking for such as teamwork, communication and presentation
skills.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.
Course Length: 35 Weeks
You will need to be working at Entry Level 3 or Level 1 functional skills in both maths & English. You will be assessed at the start of the course to ascertain if any extra support is required.
This course is assessed through written work, presentations (for example a new business idea), and practical activities such as helping to run a small event and team building activities.
We love it when our students progress on to the next level of BTEC in business. You may want to carry on with business but there is nothing to stop you from looking at the other BTEC courses we offer within the college. Apprenticeships are another avenue to explore.
We work with local employers who support us with the delivery of the course and assist with live projects.
