This course is ideal for those seeking to enhance their counselling skills. Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counselling skills and have the opportunity to examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical models associated with them.  This qualification does not qualify learners to practise as a counsellor.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 32 Weeks

You will need an educational level of qualifications at Level 2. You will require minimum qualification of Level 1 in English and partake in an initial assessment showing that you are working at Level 2

You will be assessed through assignments and skills demonstrations. There are no exams.

This qualification would assist you to study Level 4 counselling qualifications, Access to HE and then progress to university; or support your professional development and promotion in a relevant working environment.
