This course is ideal for those seeking to enhance their counselling skills.
Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counselling skills and have
the opportunity to examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical
models associated with them. This qualification does not qualify learners
to practise as a counsellor.
During this Counselling Skills course you will study a range of topics
including:
Developing counselling skills
Theoretical approaches in the use of counselling skills
Working ethically with counselling skills
Counselling skills and diversity
Counselling skills and personal development
Counselling Skills course is on a Friday daytime at James Watt College.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.
You will need an educational level of qualifications at Level 2. You will
require minimum qualification of Level 1 in English and partake in an initial
assessment showing that you are working at Level 2
This qualification would assist you to study Level 4 counselling
qualifications, Access to HE and then progress to university; or support
your professional development and promotion in a relevant working
environment.
