Electrical Installation T Level

Your aim to becoming an electrician, just got easier.

The college are offering all 16–18-year-olds an opportunity to fulfil your passions and reach your potential with the opportunity to take the first step on your journey. Whether you go into employment or continue a higher-level apprenticeship, we will support you to reach your ambition.

T– Levels are the new qualification which could be your perfect next step after your GCSE’s, equivalent to three A-levels. T - Levels give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience alongside your learning. By combining your classroom theory with practical learning and an industry placement, it gives you the chance to give you a holistic learning experience. Industry placement will take up 45 days out of 9 weeks.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You will need a minimum GCSE grade 5 in maths and English. You will also be asked to attend an interview.

T Levels are only available for 16-18 year olds.

Attendance:

  • 4 x days per week in college plus 45 days working with an employer on an industry placement.

Assessment:

  • Two externally set exams – covering knowledge from the building services.
  • One employer-set project covering knowledge and skills.
  • One externally set practical assignment.

Expectations:

  • 100% punctuality and attendance
  • Work to be submitted timely.

On successful completion of this course, progression opportunities will include the following:

  • Employment (Electrical Installation) Highly skilled employment in Construction Industry
  • Higher level studies or a Higher Apprenticeship
  • T-Levels are recognised by UCAS to support applications to study at university.
