English - Functional Skills & GCSE (Adults)

English made easy! Our Functional Skills English course is for English speakers who would like to improve reading and writing skills and become more confident when speaking.

While our English Language GCSE – this course is designed for those who have taken GCSE English Language very recently but need to improve their grade 3 (D) to a grade 4 (C) or higher.

James Watt College also delivers GCSE English online on Friday's 09:15 to 12:15.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: Weeks

Everyone is welcome and there are no entry requirements.  You will see an advisor who will put you on the right course for you.

Depending on your level of study you will have a formal assessment which may be examination based.

You may be able to progress to a higher level programme.
