English Language A level involves the linguistic analysis of a range of different types of spoken and written texts and discourses, and the creation of texts, reflecting on the processes undertaken. English language will be explored as a medium of communication and as a topic in its own right.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English Language.

Delivery And Assessment

This two-year course, through the exam board: AQA, is principally assessed by written examination at the end of two years of study, but also includes Non-Exam Assessed (20% Coursework) Components.
