Course overview

You’ll learn the foundations of floristry including design principles, colour harmonies, hand-tied bouquets, floral arrangements, funeral and wedding designs. The course is creative, hands-on, and designed to build your confidence and technique.

You don’t need formal qualifications to join this course, but you will need to complete a functional skills test in literacy and numeracy.

Progression Opportunities

After completing this course, you can progress to the Level 3 NCFE Creative Crafts Certificate in Floristry or the full-time City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Floristry.

Delivery And Assessment

You’ll complete a portfolio of work, along with two assignments: one written piece exploring the current floristry market, and a presentation on sources of inspiration. Your tutor will guide you through each task to help you succeed.
