Floristry Creative Crafts Certificate Level 2

This is a part time course, one evening per week (3 hours) a week aimed at beginners and people with some experience who wish to obtain a qualification in Floristry. The course is aimed at people who have a love of flowers, might wish to work from home or eventually work in a flower shop.

The course will cover the basic floristry skills including Principles and Elements of Design, Colour and Colour Harmonies, Hand Tied Designs, Floral Arrangements, Funeral Designs, Wedding Design.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 18 Weeks

If you have an interest in floristry you can study this course without qualifications, however, a functional skills test for literacy and numeracy will need to be achieved.

You will complete a portfolio of work, which is assessed, for your qualification, along with two other assignments, one written looking at what is currently available in the floristry market place and a presentation on sources of inspiration – guidance for all assignments is given during lessons from your tutor.

You will be able to progress on to the Level 3 NCFE Creative Crafts Certificate Floristry or the full time City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Floristry.
