Plumbing

Want to become a plumber? This course is designed to help you develop high-level occupational skills in plumbing. You’ll also strengthen your maths and English, preparing you for further study, an apprenticeship, or employment in the industry.

You’ll build on Level 1 skills and learn practical techniques in cold and hot water plumbing, central heating pipework, sanitation, safety, and environmental awareness.

* Courses are free for 16-18s. Students aged 19 or over could be charged fees and is subject to a fee assessment. Learners on benefits in the majority of cases courses are also free. Fee assessments are completed at enrolment.

Course Length: 35 Weeks

You’ll need GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English. Full attendance, punctuality, and timely homework submission are expected.

You’ll be assessed through practical tasks and written work. You’ll need to bring essential items including the Water Regulations Guide, City & Guilds Plumbing Book 1, safety boots, and classroom equipment such as a scientific calculator and stationery.

Progress to further study or seek employment in the plumbing industry.
