Delivery will be at Sutton Coldfield College. Training will be on a Monday afternoon and Tuesday Morning with matches played on a Wednesday afternoon. The Programme of study utilises the use of 2 sports halls and a gym on site for the practical elements of the programme and in the main buildings of the College has the IT and Specialist Fitness, Massage and Classroom Resources for many of the taught units.
Assessment on the programme of study will depend upon the academic course chosen. It will be varied but may include portfolios, case studies, projects, reports, exams, presentations and written presentation.
On completion of a Level 2 programme of study you have the opportunity to progress onto either the Level 3 Extended Certificate or Level 3 Foundation Diploma.
On completion of a Level 3 programme of study you have the opportunity to progress onto the second year of the programme if you have a) achieved and b) attended well. Alternatively, you may like to consider a career or apprenticeship within the sport and leisure industry.
Scholars who have progressed onto the second year programme use the course to gain entry to Higher Education; with many going into careers in teaching, coaching, sports therapy, sports analysis, fitness or nutrition.
