Course overview
You’ll develop your skills through case studies, reports, projects, role plays, presentations and discussions. Educational visits are a key part of the course, helping you apply your learning in real-world settings. Past trips have included destinations such as Vietnam, New York, Birmingham Airport, Cadbury World, Snowdonia National Park, Stratford-upon-Avon and Blackpool.
What this course covers
You’ll study World of Travel and Tourism, Global Destinations, Principles of Marketing, Visitor Attractions, Events, and Conferences and Exhibitions.
Entry Requirements
You’ll need four GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English and Maths. A positive reference showing good attendance and punctuality is also required.
Progression Opportunities
On successful completion, you’ll gain a qualification equivalent to three A Levels. You can progress to university, continue studying at BMet with our HND programme, or enter the industry in roles such as Travel Agent, Cabin Crew, Holiday Rep or Events Coordinator.
Delivery And Assessment
You’ll be assessed through a mix of practical projects, presentations, reports, role plays and assignments. Two units are assessed by exam, while the rest are assessed through coursework and group activities.
