Course overview
You’ll spend time in specialist studios and workshops, learning how to research, develop and present creative ideas. You’ll explore different areas of art and design and take part in local and city-based research trips. You’ll also build general skills in English, maths and social development. On completion, you’ll achieve a UAL Level 1 Award and Diploma in Art, Design and Media.
What this course covers
Entry Requirements
An interest in media, games design and/or digital art is essential. All applicants are considered and may be offered a place based on their interview and portfolio. GCSE Maths and English at Grade 2 or above, or Functional Skills equivalent, are preferred.
Progression Opportunities
Progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design. You’ll also have the opportunity to improve your English, maths and employability skills to prepare for work or apprenticeships.
Delivery And Assessment
Assessment is 100% coursework with regular verbal and written feedback. You’ll produce practical work, evidence folders, sketchbooks and a final art portfolio.
