Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy In The Workplace Certificate Level 2

Increasing the understanding of mental health of staff at all levels builds a culture of care and support.This course is designed to give learners the skills to support colleagues with their mental health.

These skills will be gained by increasing the learner’s knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions and the principles of mental health first aid and how this can be implemented in the workplace. There are three mandatory units to complete.

Unit 1 - Exploring mental health

Unit 2 - Understand how to support individuals with mental ill health

Unit 3 - Understand a mentally healthy environment

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. This course is funded and available for learners age 19 and above who have lived in the UK for 3 years+.

All resources will be made available to you via an online e-learning platform or paper based format with support from your allocated Assessor.

Once you have successfully completed this course you could continue to study other NCFE courses or secure employment in the health and social care sector.
