Apprentice designer is the full package

The 19-year-old is also responsible for creating artwork for the company’s product labels, information guides and delivery vehicle livery as well as promotional literature for their stockists and distributors.

“The company rebrand took place last spring with a new logo and image. Our refreshed marketing materials are having a great impact,” said Ian Dunnaker, Sales Director. “Tasking Andy with responsibility for our packaging designs was our way of encouraging new talent to develop the company’s vision.

“Everyone at the company, including our stockists and suppliers are impressed by Andy’s work. He has also provided artwork for our new company website which is now live, so we are proud to show what can be achieved by providing Apprenticeship opportunities amongst our workforce.”

The new website www.perrytrade.co.uk showcases the company’s diverse product range, whilst offering many new features and improved performance.

“Seeing my designs go live has been a bit strange, but also rewarding as it’s the first time I’ve done something like this,” said Andy who is five months into his Level 3 art and design (graphic design) Apprenticeship at Matthew Boulton College. “I’ve realised how much hard work is involved in design and branding.

“I haven’t worked in this environment before, so everything has been a learning process.

“Everything I work on has a lot of creative potential. It’s great.”
