Award winning barrister to speak at BMet graduation
The St Philips Chambers’ barrister will address over hundred students at a ceremony taking place on Tuesday 24 November at The Town Hall, Birmingham.
Sue Woodward, Faculty Director for Higher Education courses at the College said: “Tariq’s wealth of experience makes him an engaging and inspirational speaker for our celebratory event. His remarkable career achievements and work ethic are an ideal example of someone who has strived for success while encouraging others to do the same.”
Tariq Sadiq specialises in Employment Law and its overlap with Commercial, Sport and Professional Discipline disputes. He was named Barrister of the Year 2015 at the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards, having won the same award in 2013 and been shortlisted for the same award for the last four consecutive years. In 2014, he was elected for a second time as the Midlands Representative for the Employment Lawyers’ Association and became Chair of the Football Association’s Anti-Discrimination Panel.
He studied economics at the University of Kent before receiving a Scholarship from Gray’s Inn to study to become a barrister.
