BMet celebrates National Apprenticeship Week with two firsts

To mark the start of NAW 2022 (National Apprenticeship Week), BMet has launched on Tik Tok and is bolstering its commitment to apprentices by joining the Association of Apprentices.

These are two firsts for the college, which annually recognises the important date in the calendar – highlighting the value of apprenticeships for students and employers.

BMet is the only regional college with corporate membership with The Association of Apprentices.

Membership means that BMet apprentices will be able to connect socially and professionally with other apprentices, have access to 1000s of resources and attend events held by the association.

BMet’s TikTok channel will also officially launch during NAW, with an apprenticeship-focused video. It is a perfect opportunity to highlight key and rewarding apprenticeship routes at BMet that includes: Business and Professional Services, Media, Engineering, Construction, Pharmacy and Dental nursing.

Suzie Branch-Haddow, Vice Principal of External Development, at BMet said: “Being able to highlight our apprenticeship developments during National Apprenticeship Week feels very apt, timely and makes the occasion even more special for us.

“We are also particularly proud of the fact that contrary to what is often believed, our apprenticeship opportunities can be offered to students of all ages.”

Through NAW, BMet will additionally bring an array of rewarding learner and employer journeys to life, through its website and social media channels. These will be showcased in a variety of ways, including through apprenticeship case studies, imagery and videos.

Suzie concluded: “NAW is a great time to reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and to highlight the positive impact that apprentices can have on an organisation.”

This year, NAW is taking place between 7-13th February, with a “build the future” theme.

The 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships is an opportunity to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy across England.
