BMet holds more virtual open events this February and with more iPad giveaways
BMet is set to give prospective students another unique virtual college experience next month through a week of engaging and interactive events.
The open events will take place between 08th-11th February and anyone pre-registering will also be in the running to win an iPad.
The college-wide events are a great opportunity for school leavers, parents and adults to find out about the range of career pathways available by studying at BMet.
Attendees will hear from specialist tutors and students and will be able to take part in a Q+A as well. There are also virtual tours of the campuses – showcasing the fantastic college facilities.
Starting on Monday 8 February, anyone tuning in will be able to discover the wide routes available at James Watt College, Matthew Boulton College and Sutton Coldfield College.
Each of the colleges will showcase their specialisms virtually including: A levels, Art and Design, Business, Construction, Computing, Creative Arts and Media, Dental, Early Years, Engineering, Health and Social Care, Law, Performing Arts, Uniformed Public Services, Science, Sport and Travel and Tourism. BMet also offers Maths, English and Foundation Learning courses. Apprenticeship programmes are available too and there is the chance to find out about university-level options at BMet.

Annabelle said: “BMet’s Sutton Coldfield College stood out immediately to me. The onsite facilities, student support and courses offered are second to none.
“I decided to apply for A level courses in psychology, sociology and English Language. My plan is to work within social work, with a possible lead into Criminal Psychology. Working with and helping others with mental health issues, has always been appealing to me and hopefully these courses will provide me with a solid groundwork to get into this field.
“Winning the IPad has been unbelievable and I’m so grateful! This will help me greatly with my coursework and studies. I cannot wait to get started at BMet and put this wonderful prize to use.”
Hawa said: “I’m so glad that I will be going to Matthew Boulton this year and I’ll be studying health and social care.“I have chosen to study this course because I would love to become a midwife when I’m older. It excites me to be able to help people when they are in such a beautiful moment of their lives and I hope that the college could help me take a step further into my future.
“I’m so thankful for the iPad which was so unexpected and I’m even more excited to go to the college and start learning.”
The live and recorded virtual open events are being run via Zoom video and are bookable online now
