Bursary bonus for students starting uni
“The bursary was a complete surprise to the learners so they were overjoyed when they found out they were receiving the money,” said Jenny North, BMet’s Head of Careers. “This will encourage our students to fully embrace the next stages of their education journey and celebrate all they have achieved so far.
“We’re grateful to the university for providing them with such an excellent start to their undergraduate life.”
BMet lecturers were asked to nominate six students who had shown a full commitment to their studies and achieved the highest course grades. The students who are from Sutton Coldfield College and Stourbridge College are progressing on a range of degree courses in media, computing and forensic science.
“This bursary is part of a new progression partnership we have developed with BMet to give aspiring graduates help with the cost of travel, course equipment and other study resources,” commented Laura Knight, Education Liaison Manager at the University. “We hope this financial boost helps them enjoy the start of their time at university even more and encourages them to continue giving 100% to their learning and career ambitions.”
