Festival vibes
With live music and ice creams, the summer festival vibes will be bursting out of Matthew Boulton College’s Open Event on Saturday (16 June).
School leavers visiting the college between 10am and 1pm can try out a range of ‘have a go’ activities linked to hundreds of different careers. After this they can enjoy a set list of live tunes, dance and musical theatre performances from an outdoor stage in front of the building.
Andrew Cleaves, Principal at the College said: “A festival themed event is the perfect way for us to show everyone the great atmosphere we have here. We’re running some fun activities in each of our subject areas. Each one is guaranteed to inspire people to follow the study and training paths that will turn them into career professionals they want to be.
“If you’ve ever thought about coming to college, then there’s no better time – and day – to come and check us out.”
Open Event visitors can apply for a course on the day, be interviewed and come away with an offer.
Adults thinking of being back in the classroom can also explore full and part-time study and training opportunities available from GCSE-equivalent through to university level. Higher education courses at Matthew Boulton College include business, engineering, health and social care, IT, law, science and graphic design.
