Fortis Academy Wins Ultimate Prom Package in BMet and Hits Radio Competition
Fortis Academy has been crowned the winner of BMet College’s Prom Package Competition, an exclusive contest run in partnership with Hits Radio. Open to Birmingham secondary schools, the competition gave Year 11 students the chance to win the ultimate prom experience—and Fortis Academy took the top spot!
A Surprise Celebration for Fortis Academy Students
The winning students received the exciting news in a surprise school assembly, where BMet’s James Watt College Vice Principal, Randeep Sami, presented them with a ‘golden ticket’, marking their incredible prize.
Their unforgettable prom night will feature:
- A live DJ from Hits Radio
- A 360° photo booth for capturing memories
- Entertainers on arrival, greeting the students
- Balloon displays and themed decor
- Sweet treats galore – candy floss machine, a popcorn station, a chocolate fountain, and a sweet cart
Fortis Academy Headteacher’s Reaction
Sarah Murcott, Executive Headteacher at Fortis Academy, expressed her excitement:
“We are over the moon that we have won this prize for our Year 11 students. They have worked so hard towards their GCSEs, and this is a fantastic way to celebrate the end of their secondary school journey.
