Masoud packing a punch with his studies
Masoud, who studies exercise and fitness has competed in Iran and Turkey and become a champion in Azerbaijan. He has an impressive collection of certificates and awards from his impressive sporting career to date.
He hopes to inspire others to take up boxing or a form of martial arts as he believes it is a productive use of time and is a great way for young people to learn self-defence.
“Being a boxer definitely helps me in all parts of my life, including my studies,” said Masoud. “I am already quite fit and motivated and continuing to work out helps to relieve stress. Learning about fitness also makes me more aware of what I need to do to keep healthy and this makes me feel good”.
Masoud trains at Birmingham City Boxing Club with Halesowen boxing legend, Frank O’Sullivan MBE as head coach. His plan is to seek sponsorship in order to compete professionally.
