Skills West Midlands and Warwickshire is part of the Local Skills and Improvement Plan (LSIP) with funding through the Department for Education’s Local Skills and Improvement Fund (LSIF).
It was formed after direct feedback from the business community who have asked the FE sector to collaborate better through providing a simple point of access to skills for employers and brand and kite mark for skills that is recognised and valued by employers.
At the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about how Skills WMW is leading the way in equipping the next generation of construction professionals with the necessary skills to succeed in this growing industry as well as upskilling current staff.
Speaking about Skills WMW’s presence at the UK Construction Conference, Suzie Branch-Haddow, Vice President of External Development at BMet college, said: “We are thrilled to be exhibiting as part of Skills WMW at such a significant industry event. This collective approach allows us to present the best that further education and training providers across the West Midlands and Warwickshire have to offer.
“With construction playing such a vital role in the region’s economy, we are excited to engage with businesses and demonstrate how Skills WMW can support their workforce needs now and in the future.”
