City of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Academy

The City of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Academy provides students the opportunity to develop basketball skills in a high performance environment at BMet College whilst gaining their academic qualifications at the same time.

All academic provision is delivered by BMet and takes place on college campuses, enabling students a full college experience. Students can select from a wide range of academic courses and be part of the basketball academy on a daily basis at the same time. Academy basketball is delivered by coaches from City of Birmingham Rockets, Birmingham’s premier basketball club.

The Academy teams compete in a wide range of competitions each week including the elite National EABL and AOC competitions.

All students will have access to;

team practices,
individual development sessions,
strength and conditioning support,
video analysis sessions,
physiotherapy and sports psychology support befitting of an elite sporting programme.

The City of Birmingham Rockets Basketball Academy at BMet provides for both male and female students.
